Wedding trend predictions for spring 2026

Marriage is a celebration of love and togetherness, but this new age of social media has inspired artistic ideas and weddings that are a reflection of modern creativity. From classic creams and tiered cakes, to everything from drop waists, Antoinette veils and disco balls, we see wedding trends come and go. Here are my predictions for what we will be seeing more of in the 2026 season.

Creative Draping

Ditch the classic chiffon for a more bold approach. This year, we’re going to see draping play with the natural environment of a wedding ceremony or reception. From hanging from tree limbs to dramatic layering, these elegant installations are making more of a statement. As a compliment to florals or on its own, draping will become a go-to for couples who want to emphasize minimalism and contemporary style.

Textured Linens

And who says the bridesmaids are the only ones who get to bring the drama? Fabric is going a step further than the dress and the draping. Layered and textured linens are also adding a focus to tablescapes, dessert tables and cocktail set ups.

Monochromatic Florals

Whether it’s all one color scheme with pops of greenery, or each bridesmaids bouquet with a single kind of flower, monochromatic florals and palettes are something we began to see more of this year. An event that focuses on one color, or single hues of each color, appears polished and sophisticated, yet unexpected.

Fruit

You heard me. When seeking unexpected elements of floral design these days, couples are looking no further than their local farmers market for the latest bunch. Fruit (and vegetables!) often brings bright and striking or rich and moody colors to delicate arrangements. The compliment is quirky but it’s *tastefully* effective and photographs well!
